Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida is a short distance from Tampa. It
is a vibrant, lively beach resort that offers everything for the family. The
beach has the most brilliant white, sugar like sand! As do many of the Gulf
Coast Beaches. Driving time from Orlando is around one and a half to 2 hours and
from Tampa it is around 40 minutes.
Clearwater has much to offer, there is an aquarium where you can sign up to be a
trainer for the day and the cost is around $200 for non members. This aquarium
relies totally on donations and does a great job rescuing injured marine
animals.
At the harbour you can stroll around and look at the fishing boats and if they
have recently returned see them preparing their catch for eating. Also this is
where you can join the various dinner cruises, sightseeing tours, Dolphin
encounters, Jet Ski’s and Parasailing.
There many very good places to eat in Clearwater and it doesn’t have to cost the
earth. Of course, being a coastal resort, fish and seafood are plentiful. See

Pier60 at Sunset comes alive with street entertainers and craft stalls an ideal
place to wander around while waiting for the gorgeous sunsets that occur here.
Many restaurants also have views of the sunsets.
Close to Clearwater beach are two shopping malls, Countryside Mall that has 187
stores and an indoor Ice Skating Rink and Clearwater Mall.
